Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: January 1, 2026 | Last Updated: September 2026

1. Enrollment Agreement & Eligibility

By booking or participating in any training course with AAA CCW Academy (“Academy”), you certify under penalty of perjury that:

  • You are a lawful United States citizen or permanent lawful resident at least 21 years of age.
  • You are not prohibited by California state law (California Penal Code § 29800 et seq.) or federal law (18 U.S.C. § 922(g)) from purchasing, possessing, receiving, or handling firearms or ammunition.
  • You are not currently under indictment, subject to an active protective order, restraining order, or condition of probation/parole that prohibits firearm possession.

2. Mandatory Attendance & Certification Standards

Under California Senate Bill 2 (SB2) and Penal Code § 26165, all initial CCW applicants must complete a minimum of 16 instructional hours, and renewal applicants must complete a minimum of 8 instructional hours.

  • No Guaranteed Certification: Course enrollment and tuition payment do not guarantee a training completion certificate. Students must demonstrate safe gun handling, actively participate in all statutory modules, and achieve a passing score on the live-fire qualification course.
  • Full Attendance Required: Any unexcused absence, tardiness, or early departure will result in non-completion without certificate issuance.
  • Permit Issuance Authority: AAA CCW Academy issues official Training Completion Certificates. Final authority to grant, deny, or revoke a Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) permit rests solely with your designated issuing agency (LAPD, LASD, OCSD, etc.).

3. Range Safety & Immediate Dismissal Policy

Firearm safety is our absolute highest priority. Students must strictly observe all Range Safety Officer (RSO) commands and the 4 Universal Firearm Safety Rules at all times.

The Academy reserves the absolute right to immediately dismiss any student from the classroom or firing line for unsafe firearms handling, negligent discharges, disruptive conduct, or suspected alcohol/substance impairment. Dismissals for safety violations are strictly non-refundable.

4. Rescheduling, Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Rescheduling Notice: Students may reschedule their booked course date without penalty by providing written or verbal notification at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time.
  • Cancellations: Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the class date are eligible for a full refund or future course credit.
  • No-Shows: Students who fail to appear for their scheduled training date without prior notification forfeit their tuition fee.

5. Limitation of Liability & Inquiries

Firearms training inherently involves physical risks. Students agree to execute a standard liability waiver and assumption-of-risk agreement prior to live-fire range entry. AAA CCW Academy, its owners, and certified instructors shall not be held liable for personal property damage, agency processing delays, or external range facility conditions.
