Navigating the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department CCW Process
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) serves over 10 million residents across the county, directly handling concealed weapon licensing for all unincorporated communities as well as dozens of contract cities (such as Santa Clarita, Lancaster, Palmdale, Malibu, and West Hollywood).
LASD Permitium Application System
LASD manages all applicant processing through the Permitium electronic portal. Applicants can track the real-time status of their application, upload required records, and communicate directly with their assigned investigator.
